Troubleshooting
Quick help
Sign-in or account access
Confirm that your device is online, check the email address entered for the account, and install the latest available Mizan version. If you still cannot sign in, email support from the address associated with the account.
Activity or leaderboard changes are not appearing
Retry after checking your connection, then close and reopen Mizan. If the problem continues, tell support the approximate date and time, app version, iPhone model, iOS version, displayed error, and the steps that caused it. Redact private information from screenshots.
Account deletion or privacy
Follow the account-deletion instructions or review the Mizan Privacy Policy. Never email your password.
Report safely
Report a group name or member
- 1Open Groups, then select the relevant group to open its detail screen.
- 2To report the group name, tap Report name to open Report Group Name. To report a member, tap the member's ••• safety-actions button, then choose Report Member.
- 3Select the closest reason and add only the details reasonably needed to understand the concern.
- 4Review and submit the report. A limited snapshot containing the group name and, for a member report, the target member's display name may be attached so the operator can review what was visible at that time.
A report does not automatically delete a group name, remove a member, or close an account. The Mizan operator reviews the available context and may act when appropriate. Knowingly false, retaliatory, or abusive reports may themselves violate the community rules.
Block controls
Block and unblock a member
You can block a member from the group's detail screen. Blocking is enforced symmetrically in shared leaderboards: neither you nor the blocked member will see the other there. Blocking does not automatically submit a report or remove either person from a shared group.
Review blocked accounts and unblock someone from Profile → Blocked Members. If a member also violates the community rules, submit a separate report so the operator can review the concern.
Community rules
Keep shared spaces respectful
Display names, group names, invitations, reports, and other shared features must not be used to:
- harass, threaten, bully, shame, or target another person;
- post hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable material;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent an affiliation;
- share another person's private or identifying information without permission;
- promote illegal activity, exploitation, self-harm, or credible threats of harm;
- send spam, manipulate leaderboards, misuse invite codes, or disrupt Mizan; or
- submit knowingly false, malicious, repetitive, or retaliatory reports.
Moderation decisions consider the available context, severity, repetition, and risk. Mizan may take proportionate action after review, including resetting a public name or removing and banning a member from the reported group. A report may be closed without action when the available information does not establish a violation.
Review target & appeals
What happens after a report
Mizan's moderation response target is 48 hours. We commit to acknowledging or beginning review of a moderation report within 48 hours after it is received. Final resolution may take longer when a case is complex, more information is needed, or legal and safety considerations apply.
To appeal a moderation decision, email from the address associated with your Mizan account using the subject “Mizan Moderation Appeal”. Include the decision or report reference if available, the approximate decision date, and a concise explanation of why you believe it should be reconsidered. Do not include your password. We will review the available record and any relevant new context; an appeal does not guarantee reversal.
Email a moderation appealSafety data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Active user blocks remain until unblocked or the relevant account is deleted. An operator group restriction remains until it is lifted or the relevant group or target account is deleted. Reports, limited snapshots, moderation actions, and appeal correspondence may be retained for up to 12 months from receipt.
